Bring your skills to the 2020 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Truck Enterprises, Inc. along with Kenworth Sales Co., a 34-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a Body Shop Technician to join our Richmond, VA team.

Job SummarY: 
The primary function of the Body Shop Technician is to perform body work on customer equipment in a superior and thorough manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Body Shop Manager with the care, storage and usage of all materials used in body work processes. Follows all safety standards set by applicable governmental guidelines, including state fire and health codes, and federal OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintains a regular working knowledge and familiarity with all EPA and OSHA documentation as required by applicable government health and safety regulations including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
  • Performs work directed by the Body Shop Manager in a timely and thorough manner. Maintains superior standard of workmanship in all services performed.
  • Advises the Body Shop Manager of any recommended changes in services ordered by the customer.
  • Determines if any further servicing should be recommended to the customer and communicates such recommendations to the Body Shop Manager.
  • Maintains a level of training and experience with specialized materials, equipment, machinery, and body working techniques necessary for superior servicing of the customer’s equipment. Attends training sessions as required from time to time by the Body Shop Manager.
  • Performs additional as services required when any piece of equipment is returned by a customer because of the Body Shop Technician’s faulty workmanship.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Two years of experience as a vehicle body repairer or apprentice
  • Working knowledge of body repair methods
  • Provide own tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to interpret vendor catalogs
