Bring your skills to the 2020 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Truck Enterprises, Inc. along with Kenworth Sales Co., a 35-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a Truck Detalier to join our Hagerstown, MD team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Wash Bay Technician is to perform cleaning and detailing of trucks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Wash vehicle exteriors, inspect for body and component damage.
  • Steam clean engines, and removed parts as needed.
  • Clean, when needed, vehicle interiors. Remove garbage and customer personal belongings (and inventory) as needed.
  • Dry and polish vehicles. Ready vehicles for trade shows or display in franchise show room.
  • Perform daily spot checks of equipment to ensure cleanliness.
  • Report body or interior damage to supervisor for repair or correction.
  • Maintain wash bay equipment and facility to standards of cleanliness.
  • Prepare various chemical compounds and soap solutions for cleaning products usage.
  • Clean and drain floor sumps as needed to ensure proper water flow to drains.
  • Park and move vehicles through facilities and parking lots as needed.  Start units online to maintain battery levels as needed.
  • Transport vehicles needing deep cleaning to detail shop as needed.
  • Maintain record of washes and vehicle conditions and report to office to ensure accuracy.
  • Clean and maintain Fuel Island.
  • Assist shop janitor and other technicians.
  • Check in and check out of trucks for rental / leasing.
  • Perform post trip inspections and assist with installation / removal of tires as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent. 
  • Working knowledge of all cleaning and detailing methods.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Must have own tool set sufficient to perform job requirements.
