Bring your skills to the 2020 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Truck Enterprises, Inc. along with Kenworth Sales Co., a 34-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a Building Maintenance/Janitor to join our Chesapeake, VA team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Building Maintenance/Janitor is the general maintenance and cleaning of Building and outside lot.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean all exposed filing cabinets, bookcases, shelves
  • Clean and sanitize telephones
  • Clean and sanitize desk tops
  • Clean reception lobby
  • Empty all waste receptacles & replace liners as needed including shop.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas
  • Clean, sanitize, polish all vitreous fixtures
  • Clean all glass and mirrors
  • Refill all dispensers to normal limits
  • Sweep, damp mop, and sanitize hard floor
  • Clean and sanitize all sinks and sink fixtures
  • Remove dust and cobwebs from ceiling areas and window seals
  • Keep kitchens clean including microwaves and coffee pots
  • Once a month clean exterior and interior windows
  • Pressure wash building as needed
  • Building maintenance as needed (light bulbs, paint touch ups, etc.)
  • Keep parking area and landscaping free of debris
  • When not cleaning, maintenance person will be back up for the shipping and receiving department as well as running errands for the Service Department

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Clearly legible handwriting.
  • Experience in Janitorial and general maintenance work.
